One purchase on your store account
The unlock is a single in-app purchase through Google Play or the App Store. It does not renew, there is no yearly licence, and it comes back on a new phone with the same account.
Deximo Apps / Pay-once apps
A utility app does one job: merge a PDF, keep your clipboard, find the duplicate photos, scan a receipt. Paying every month for a job that runs on your own phone is a bad fit. These five apps are paid for once, if at all.
"Pay once" here means one in-app purchase on your Google Play account (or your Apple ID, for Everkeep on iPhone). Google Play shows the price for your country on the unlock button, so there is no number on this page to go stale. Every app has a free version first, and what it includes is listed per app below.
What pay once means here
Plenty of apps say "one-time purchase" and then ask again next year. Here is what the phrase means on this page, so you can hold us to it.
The unlock is a single in-app purchase through Google Play or the App Store. It does not renew, there is no yearly licence, and it comes back on a new phone with the same account.
None of the free versions stop working after a week. Some have a limit on how much you can do (a number of deletes, documents or exports) and some have none at all. The limit for each app is written out below.
No account, no upload, no sync. That is also why pay-once works: there is no server bill for us to cover each month, so there is nothing to charge you for each month either.
The five apps
Each app is ours, so the lists below come straight from the app, not from a review. Each one also has a longer guide on why it skips the subscription and what the alternatives charge.
Every photo, video, voice note and written note becomes a page in a book about your child, filed by age. No account and no social feed; the book lives on your phone.
Thirteen PDF tools that run on the phone: merge, split, compress to a target size, OCR, rotate, stamp and more. Nothing is uploaded.
Keeps what you copy, searchable, with a guard that keeps passwords and one-time codes out of the history. Nothing leaves the phone.
Finds similar photos, bursts and old screenshots so you can clear space without losing the good shot. Photos never leave the phone and you review every delete.
Scans papers into PDFs, reads the words on the page on the phone, and files them in folders so any document can be found later by a word inside it.
The other side
Subscriptions are not a scam. They are the honest price for a service that keeps running after you close the app: syncing between your phone, tablet and laptop; storing your files on someone else's servers with backups; sharing in real time with family or a team; or processing that happens in the cloud because it is too heavy for a phone. Each of those costs the developer money every month, and a monthly fee is the only way that arithmetic works. If you need any of them, pay for them and expect a subscription.
The apps on this page do none of that on purpose. The PDF is built on your phone, the clipboard history is a database on your phone, the photos are compared on your phone, the scan is read on your phone, the baby book is a file on your phone. There is no account to maintain and no server to keep up, so there is nothing that costs us money month after month. That is the whole reason one purchase is enough, and it is also the trade-off: if you want the same data on two devices, you move it yourself.
FAQ
No. The purchase is tied to the store account you bought it with, not to the phone. Install the app on the new phone, sign in to Google Play with the same account, and use Restore purchases in the app's settings or on the unlock screen. For Everkeep on iPhone the same applies to your Apple ID. A purchase made on Google Play does not carry over to the App Store, or the other way round, because they are separate stores. Your data is a separate matter: it lives on the phone, so move it yourself (Everkeep has a backup file for this).
Yes, and none of them expires. Everkeep lets you keep unlimited photos, videos, voice notes and written notes for one child for free. Soloclip keeps an unlimited clipboard history for free. ViaPDF gives you all thirteen tools and your first export free. SparePix lets you scan, review every group and make 15 photo deletes for free. Filetray lets you keep up to 5 scanned documents with text recognition on one of them. Each app's one purchase removes the limit or adds the extras listed on this page.
Because nothing runs on our servers. Each app does its work on the phone: the PDF is built there, the clipboard history is stored there, the photos are compared there, the scan is read there, the baby book is kept there. There is no account, no sync and no cloud storage to pay for every month, so there is no monthly cost to pass on. A subscription makes sense when a service keeps running for you; these apps do not.
Yes. Updates arrive through Google Play (and the App Store for Everkeep) like any other app, and they do not cost extra. The purchase is a lifetime unlock of the app, not a licence for a year. Every version shipped so far has been included, and that is how we plan to keep working.
Only Everkeep. It is on both Google Play and the App Store. ViaPDF, Soloclip, SparePix and Filetray are Android only, with no iPhone version. We would rather say that plainly than show a "coming soon" badge.
